Where the information comes from

Three source types, in this order of authority. First, provincial registries: the iGaming Ontario operator directory and the Alberta iGaming Corporation registered site list. Second, the operator’s own published pages, including terms and conditions, payment pages and support pages. Third, app store listings for platform availability and ratings.

Where a registry and an operator’s marketing disagree, the registry wins. Betway’s Play Store listing claims service across Alberta and the rest of Canada, but Betway is not on Alberta’s registered site list. We report the registry position and flag the discrepancy.

What we will not publish

Welcome bonus amounts. During research we could not verify a single dollar figure from an operator source, and third-party numbers conflicted with each other. Bonus offers also change without notice and vary by province. Rather than repeat a figure we cannot stand behind, we describe the structures and let you read the current offer yourself.

Picks and predictions. We do not sell them, publish them or partner with anyone who does.

Unverified detail dressed up as fact. If a book does not publish its support channels or payment methods, our review says exactly that. It is a finding about the operator, not a gap in the review.

How scores change

Scores move when the evidence moves. A book that adds Alberta registration, publishes withdrawal timings, or ships an iOS app it did not have will rise. One that loses a registration or quietly drops a payment method will fall. Commercial relationships never move a score in either direction.

Who writes this

OddsNorth is edited from Saskatchewan, which is a closed market with exactly one legal betting site. That is a useful place to write from, because it makes the differences between provinces impossible to ignore.
